The program is formed with the objective to inculcate a positive and winning attitude in professionals to create world-class mentors.
The Mentor Certification Program is a 9-month intervention program.
Course Outline:
Month 1:
This month is completely focused on understanding mentoring and the concepts associated with it. Participants are given activities that require them to peruse books as specified by the Mentor Supervisor.
Post the activity, everyone needs to read and share their perspectives and learnings and need to present the same on the Day 1 (Month 2) of this program. This creates a firm foundation for learners looking to pursue mentoring in their professional life. Every participant needs to undergo a psychometric assessment test based on positive psychology.
Month 2:
This is inclusive of a 3-day intervention.
Day 1: The 3-day program highlights the difference between counseling, mentoring, consulting, therapy, teaching, and coaching. There is a strong emphasis on communication and how triggers and one’s reactions play a vital role in life. The session also includes important details on the barriers of coaching and the ethics all need to follow for mentor coaching. All participants are introduced to the qualities required to be an excellent mentor while learning about the culture and systemic issues in mentoring.
Meta-model distinctions derived from NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), OLURA (Observe, Learn, Unlearn, Reflect and Aware), learning to connect the brain and the mind are some of the highlights of this engaging program.
Day 2: Transactional Analysis is a system that is popular in psychology that helps one identify self-behavior while learning about social relationships. The program includes important tools and techniques of TA such as the PAC (Parent-Adult-Child) model, functional analysis, drama triangles, frames of references, discounted games, Egan’s skilled helper mentoring model, and more.
Day 3: Mindfulness in mentoring is a valuable practice to be in the present moment with complete awareness. This reduces the need for distraction from any external sources leading to better focus on self and teams. There is strong focus on developing core competencies useful for life, and mentoring. Developing self-awareness levels, listening, influencing, empathy, and other competencies are all inclusive in this program.
This 3-day program gives all participants a chance to imbibe important learnings to prepare them for mentor coaching.
Month 3:
This month includes many practice sessions for participants aspiring to be trained mentors. Individuals learn how to mentor people and the various approaches to be used through triad sessions with the Mentor Supervisor and Mentees. These session give a hands-on experience of playing the role of a Mentor.
Month 4:
This is inclusive of a 2-day intervention with a focus on triads and certification.
The 2-day program includes the narration of successful stories as witnessed in the 3-day program of the 2nd month. It also includes advance training sessions and methods of contracting, practice on triads, OLURA, and more. The objective is to assess how the participants have imbibed the knowledge from these sessions and the competencies they can demonstrate.
All participants have to undergo an assessment to complete their certification in mentoring skills. This assessment of skills is based on the competencies shared by Matrrix.
Month 5,6,7,8: This includes 4 months of intensive practice in triads. Participants get the feel of mentor coaching with Life Coach Dr. Paras, founder Matrrix.
All sessions includes 3 members per group. 6 sessions for each group. Duration: 1 ½ hours per session, per month.
Month 9: The closure of the 9-month program includes a meeting with all participants where in success stories are discussed and how individual behaviors have evolved. Participants witness the difference in approach and work on areas of improvements to build mentoring as a culture in their organization.

Please note: All participants will be given an assignment post their mentor training session. He/she needs to record 10 hours of their mentoring practice with their respective teams. Participants need to complete the assessment of the 4th month which includes a complete demonstration of the core competencies. They also need to have full attendance to be eligible for the certificate. Every participant will be awarded a certificate upon successful completion of this program when the terms are met.
